Waxahachie ISD currently has nearly 1,200 lots available to build on, with another 1,170 lots under development.

WISD currently has 40 actively-building subdivisions. There are 27 future planned subdivisions in the works. Of these, groundwork is underway on 1,169 lots within 15 subdivisions.

Enrollment Trends

Based on enrollment trends, local economic growth, and the ongoing local housing market, Waxahachie ISD campuses are projected to exceed functional capacities possibly as soon as the next 2 years.

WISD enrollment is projected to exceed 14,000 students by 2027.

Waxahachie ISD demographic projections suggest an additional two to five elementary schools, one junior high school, and one comprehensive high school would allow the district to avoid exceeding functional campus capacities.
