Erica Brown, M.Ed.

From as early as she can remember, Erica Brown had a desire to serve as an educator in the public school system. Beginning her career as a paraprofessional in 2011, Mrs. Brown's longing to serve others started in Ferris ISD. From there, Mrs. Brown transitioned to serving at Waxahachie ISD as a teacher. She felt a strong connection with new families and students. She worked diligently to grow her students and partner with her community.

In 2018, Mrs. Brown felt a calling to pursue a degree in Educational Leadership. She graduated with honors in 2019 and holds a Master's in Education Leadership. She has served in many leadership roles on campus and within the district. Mrs. Brown's desire to serve and partner with families remains the number one priority.

One of Mrs. Brown's favorite quotes is from Dr. Rita Pierson. It reads, "Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be." Mrs. Brown is looking forward to serving alongside Dr. Denton at Wedgeworth Elementary! Together, they will make a dynamic duo!
