Welcome to Waxahachie Challenge Academy

Challenge Academy is the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) for Waxahachie Independent School District. Students are placed at Challenge Academy as a result of disciplinary infractions that come from choices they have made. Our purpose is to guide students in learning from these experiences while continuing to support their academic and personal growth. The staff and teachers at our school are committed to providing structure, accountability, and compassion.

• In-Person DAEP Orientation (Required): Every student & Parent | Guardian must attend an in-person orientation before beginning classes. This orientation must be scheduled in advance with DAEP staff to ensure all expectations and resources are reviewed.
• Vaping Offenses Training (Required): Students placed for vaping-related infractions must complete a training module that includes a short quiz/test to demonstrate understanding.
