Early College High School

      Program

      • Founded in 2007, Waxahachie Global High School began as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) campus. In 2009, Global High School added the Early College High School designation.

Our students are required to take four years of core classes; English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. They also take a minimum of two years of Technology and Engineering. In the fall of 2018, we relocated to a new campus where we have expanded our Engineering Pathways to also include both Business and Health Science Pathways.

Having the ECHS designation allows our students to receive an Associate’s Degree from Navarro College or up to 60 hours towards a Bachelor's Degree as they earn their high school credits. Global students begin taking dual credit courses in their freshman year, and ninety-five percent typically earn their Associate's Degree before graduating from high school. Another great aspect of having the ECHS designation is that our students do not have to purchase their books, pay tuition, or encounter fees to attend the college while they are students at Global. We partner with two colleges; our local Navarro College campus and the University of Texas at Tyler which also serves as our state T-STEM Center.

Global High School, an early college high school, is designed to support all students living within Waxahachie ISD.  Due to a population boom in Waxahachie ISD, Global High School will no longer accept Out-of-District students unless there is a sitting sibling.  We are a smaller campus with approximately four hundred fifty students. We have a very rigorous curriculum offering advanced and dual credit courses. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, national origin (ancestry), disability, academic, or at-risk status. Any resident student completing the eligibility requirements to attend the 9th grade may apply.
