Industry Partners work with our students and teachers to provide relevant learning opportunities connected to the community. These learning experiences can include speaking events, student internships, teacher externships, worksite tours, and more. The Waxahachie ISD Career and Technology Education (CTE) Industry Leadership Council is a group of employers and community representatives who advise the CTE Department on the design, development, operation, evaluation and revision of our CTE programs. Members are selected from CTE business partners that support the program through internships and practicums, prospective new business partners, and other industry professionals recommended by Waxahachie ISD CTE teachers. The relevant workplace knowledge and resources provided by committee members ensure that all of our programs reflect current workforce trends and guide us as we seek to provide our students with the skills necessary to fill identified workforce gaps in the Waxahachie community.
