The Waxahachie ISD Asset Management team maintains and distributes inventory and is responsible for surplus property for the district.

Pursuant to Board Policy CI (Local), district materials, equipment, personal property such as vehicles, and supplies declared unnecessary become eligible for disposal.  The Asset Management team manages and catalogs excess and obsolete materials from campuses and departments throughout the year and sells them to the public through an online auction service. Items in the auction can include student chairs, desks, tables, office furniture, technology, athletic equipment, vehicles, mowers, and any other items that may provide a residual value. 

Surplus equipment is available for purchase through Public Surplus, an online auctioneer. Buyers are responsible for transporting items purchased through auctions.  WISD does not provide this service. The online auction site will supply all necessary information concerning the auction duration and required removal times.  Please direct questions concerning surplus equipment to the auctioneer.  The auction of surplus property is continuous and new items are added regularly.
