Free & Reduced Meals

Your child may qualify to receive free or reduced-price meal benefits.

An application must be completed to qualify for the entire school year.

A new application must be completed each school year.

You may apply for meal benefits at any time during the school year.

The previous school year’s meal benefit expires 30 days after the beginning of the new school year.

Charges made before an application for free or reduced-price meals are processed are the parent’s responsibility and must be paid promptly. Your child’s meal benefit is not retroactive.

Applications are also available at all campus locations, cafeterias, and Child Nutrition Services, 631 Solon Road, Waxahachie, TX 75165.

Charge Policy

Students will be allowed to charge up to $10 (menu meals only).

All students, over the charge limit of $10, will be offered a sack lunch.

Snacks or ala carte items will not be sold to students with a negative balance.

WISD Student Nutrition will make every attempt to notify parents by phone, mail, and/or email, with student information.

All students are set up with a meal account and parents are encouraged to set up low-balance notifications online.

Prompt remediation of an insufficient account is expected and appreciated.
